Claw Clean System®
CCS® cleans and disinfects claws hygienically and fully automatically. Developed in collaboration with the engineering firm Heemskerk, the system comprises a central control unit and one or two spray units. The control unit with its stainless steel housing is connected to the power supply and a water supply. A dosing pump delivers the required disinfectant. The spray unit is installed in the exit from the milking barn or milking robot. A sensor above the alley detects the passage of a cow and automatically disinfects the claws. A true breakthrough for cattle farmers.
Advantages:
This animal-friendly system is suitable for use in combination with milking barns and milking robots. The spray unit does not hinder the movement of the cows. CCS represents a continuous preventive approach. As a result, claw problems remain under control, saving time and money. The cows maintain high production levels and live longer.

Healthy Hooves ™
A Breakthrough in Footbath Treatment
The overuse of copper sulphate and formalin in the treatment of Papillomatous Digital Dermatitis (PDD) is hazardous to human health and the environment. Healthy Hooves ™ is patented and EPA-registered in the US as a safe acid solution that solubilizes copper and, therefore, can be a preventative for Papillomatous Digital Dermatitis (PDD) if used at least 5 - 6 times a week. Healthy Hooves™ contains a buffering system that provides a consistently effective footbath life throughout the processing of up to 500 cows.
How Healthy Hooves ™ Works:
Copper dissolved in water is toxic to bacteria. The lower the pH of the water the more effective the copper is against bacteria. The addition of Healthy Hooves™ to a footbath reduces the pH, which reduces the amount of copper sulphate required to be an effective preventative.
The buffering in Healthy Hooves™ provides a consistent low pH that is resistant to pH increases, which typically occur with the drag-in of manure. This allows more cows to pass through the footbath and receive effective preventative treatment.
How Healthy Hooves ™ Is Used:
Step 1: Use 4 litres of Healthy Hooves™ for every 200 litres of water in the footbath to lower the pH to about 1.9 to 2.0. Water hardness makes no difference.
Step 2: Add ONLY 3 - 5 kilos of COPPER SULPHATE to the footbath.
The footbath is now ready for a 500+ cow throughput.
